Theater People: Season 2

Theater People is a comedy web series about the world of independent theater and the people who live it. Set against the Minneapolis/St. Paul theater scene, “Theater People” brings together the talents of dozens of actors, designers, and technicians to cast a humorous eye on the utterly unique experience that is a life in the theater.

If you are hearing about it for the first time, I had a starring role in Season 1 as Claire, a new mom returning to the theater scene after having taken five years off. While Claire doesn’t return for Season 2 (though you’ll find her in a couple cameo appearances in Season 3!), I did return to the series…this time as composer!

Season 2 (coming May 8) turns its attention to a site specific production of “A Doll’s House” being staged by an ambitious, possibly deranged, iconoclast in the middle of nowhere during a frozen Minnesota winter. This season has a totally different feel and look (almost exclusively presented in black and white), so writer/director Matthew G. Anderson approached me to compose the bulk of the music for the second season. Season 1 and 3 composer Mike Hallenbeck pitched in for some very specific needs in Season 2 Episode 4, but you’ll just have to wait to find out the details on that.

Check out the Season Two trailer below and follow the series as a new episode is released every Friday starting May 8th!
